ZIVELI was born in Milan from the love for wine of four friends at a bar, intoxicated with enthusiasm and a desire to take action. We are connoisseurs with refined palates, each with our journey, each different, but all with the same passion.
Our hearts are divided between Italy and France, but our eyes are firmly fixed on all of Central Europe and further down along the Balkan spine.
For us, borders are not a limit, but a line to cross with curiosity, without prejudice, and with confidence.
We are practical people, who blindly taste and pour their own bottles.
Independent and stubborn, we seek our suppliers in the local area and can smell the aroma of good wines when the fermentation tanks bubble.
Ours is a continuous journey on the path of modern oenology, of the future, but also on what was considered lost and then rediscovered. A journey that leads us to personally get to know the producers, their work, and their philosophy. We like to enter their vineyards, and their cellars, and sit at the table with their families. We believe it is important to hear the story of a vineyard, a cellar, or a bottle, told by the voice of those who bend over to cultivate the land, reach out to pick the fruits, and know the difference between a fermentation vat and a cellar.
For us, the scent of must, of the barrel, and the back of the shop matters. We know that a great wine feeds on this as well. Not less important is the study: knowledge is the foundation of good practice.
We bring with us the joy of good drinking, which is almost all we need to make you happy. In short, we are skilled, even though to be complete, we recognize that we still lack the omniscience of Aubert de Villaine, the left foot of Dejan Savicevic, and the right of Rocky Marciano. We are working on it!
