Ancient Greece and the Sicilian new wave
Winemaker, classicist, and archaeologist; frankly, it’s impossible to define Michelangelo Alagna as just a farmer.
Ancient Greece and the Sicilian new wave are useful canons, but not sufficient to understand the project behind Michelangelo’s wines.
To truly understand, you need to taste his wines.
Our favorites are his Nero d’Avola “Katharsis,” a wine that stands as one of the highest expressions of the region, and the dry Zibibbo “Phronesis,” which speaks of sunshine and salt.
Furthermore, the Rosé made from Nero d’Avola grapes, “Euphrosyne,” is a true joy for us and our palates, while “Pathei Mathos,” a naturally dried Grillo, we have chosen as our meditation wine.
If you want to take a tour of the Marsala salt flats without moving a step, just close your eyes and drink a glass of his wines.
